Mobile Massage in Gran Canaria: How It Works (Home, Villa or Hotel)

Most people who find us ask the same thing, usually on WhatsApp and usually with a hint of doubt: does a mobile massage in Gran Canaria really work the same as going to a spa? The honest answer is that it works better, for one simple reason. After a great massage, the worst thing you can do is get in a car, drive twenty minutes through traffic and walk back into your day. When the massage comes to you, the treatment ends and you are already home. You keep what the session gave you.

Here is exactly how it works, from the first message to the moment we quietly close the door behind us.

What a mobile massage in Gran Canaria actually includes

Everything. That is the short version.

We arrive with a professional massage table, fresh linens, premium oils, and the small things that turn a room into a treatment space: the right music, the right light, a calm pace. You do not need to own anything, prepare anything or move furniture around. A corner of your living room, a shaded terrace, a quiet bedroom — any of these is enough. The table needs roughly the space of a yoga mat, plus room for the therapist to move around it.

We work across the south of the island: Maspalomas, Meloneras, Playa del Inglés, and out towards Puerto Rico and Mogán. Private homes, holiday villas, hotel rooms — we treat them all as what they are for that hour: your personal spa.

And if your accommodation genuinely has no space, or you would simply rather come to us, there is always the option of a session at our partner locations. But nine times out of ten, once people understand how little is needed, they choose their own terrace.

Step one: a short conversation, not a booking form

It starts with a WhatsApp message. You tell us where you are staying, what your body has been through lately — a long flight, too many hours at a laptop, a week of golf, a stiff lower back that has been there for months — and how much time you want to give yourself.

We confirm everything personally: the time, the address, the duration, who the session is for. No automated funnel, no call centre. This conversation matters more than it seems, because it is where the treatment actually begins. A massage after a red-eye flight is not the same massage as one before a wedding, and we want to know which one we are walking into.

If you are not sure what to choose, say so. Recommending is our job, not yours.

Step two: we arrive early and build your spa

Your therapist arrives a little before the agreed time. Setting up takes about ten minutes: table, linens, oils, music. You will be surprised how quickly a normal room starts to feel like somewhere else.

Then the space is yours. You undress to your comfort level, lie down, and are always properly draped — only the area being worked on is uncovered. If you are on a terrace, the warm air and the sound of the island do half the work before we even start.

One practical note guests appreciate: the oils stay on the table. Linens protect everything, and we leave the room exactly as we found it.

Step three: the massage is built around your body

We do not work from a fixed menu of routines. Before we begin, your therapist looks at how you stand, where you hold tension, how you breathe. Neck and jaw from screens and stress. Lower back from flights and soft hotel mattresses. Legs from hiking Roque Nublo or three rounds of golf. The session is shaped around what your body is actually carrying that day.

You choose the duration when you book — from a focused session to a long, unhurried one — and the depth of the work is adjusted to you, not the other way around. Firm does not have to mean painful, and relaxing does not have to mean superficial. Tell us how it feels; we listen with our hands anyway.

When it ends, there is no rush. You stay on the table as long as you like while we pack up around you. Drink water, stay barefoot, let the evening be slow. Many guests tell us that night brings the deepest sleep of their whole holiday.

The questions everyone asks

How far in advance should I book?

A day or two ahead is comfortable. Same-day is often possible, especially in the morning for an evening session — just ask.

Can two people be treated?

Yes. Couples sessions are one of the most requested things we do, either in parallel or one after the other.

What hours are available?

Every day, morning to late evening. Sunset sessions on a terrace have become something of a Re·Vive signature.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. We work in English, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese and Italian.

Is it awkward having someone in my space?

This is the fear nobody says out loud, and it disappears in the first five minutes. Our therapists are professionals with years of experience; they are discreet, warm and completely focused on the work. Your home stays your home — it just happens to have a spa in it for an hour.

Your only job is to be there

That is the real difference with a mobile massage. No driving, no parking, no shared changing rooms, no going back into the noise afterwards. You book, you open the door, and everything else is handled.

If your body has been asking for this — after the flight, after the deadline, after months of promising yourself you would slow down — this is the easiest way to finally answer it.
